F: The USB
receiver is sticked into my USB Hub but does not work properly,
what could cause the problem?
A:
Please try to avoid using a USB
hub as it might cause unreliable operation. Therefore we
recommend to use only USB ports of your PC or Laptop.
F: The USB
receiver is sometimes not properly working?
A:
Depending on the presenter model
the radio frequency (433 MHz or 2.4 GHz) could be disturbed by
electro motors of elevators, medical equipment, radio
transmitters or radio remote controls operating on similar
frequencies.
F: What is the main difference between the
models
RM800 and RM500?
A:
The main difference is that the
RM800 supports a bright green laser (RM500 supports a red
laser), uses an optical sensor for mouse navigation, contains
a 2 GB flash disk (RM500 supports 512 MB), contains a timer
clock and vibration alarm.
F: What is the difference between the
models
RM150 and RM500?
A:
The RM500 contains a 512 MB flash
disk and supports extra multi media keys. Furthermore
the USB Receiver stick csn be stored inside the hand remote.
The working distance is appox. 35m with RM500 and 100m with
RM150.
F: How does the mouse cursor control
work with the models RM150 and RM500?
A: The mouse cursor control is
implemented via a touch sensitive track pointer that can be
controlled 360° with your thumb. The advantage of the track
pointer compared to a track ball is that it is more robust
because it can not get dirty like a track ball.
F: How is the scroll function
implemented with the models RM150 and RM500?
A: The scroll function is
implemented via a toggle switch (not a scroll wheel like on a
mouse) to move slides forward/backward (arrow up/down function).
The toggle switch has no auto-repeat function so it prevents
to move multiple slides inadvertently forward/backward.
F: Is the built in laser pointer also
available in green colour?
A: Yes, the
RM800 model supports a bright green laser pointer. All other models
are using red colour.
F: Is it possible to use multiple
presenter within one room?
A:
Yes, with all models besides RM30,
RM40, RM42
and RM120 you can have different IDs.
F: The Laser
Pointer is not working on RM500. What need to be done?
A:
The laser pointer has a security
lock on the models RM500 and can be unlocked
with the following key combination: press the M-Key on the
hand remote together with the laser on/off key on the right
front side of the hand remote for about 3 sec. until the M-key
is flashing red. Then the laser can be used. It will lock
automatically after 30 min if not in use. With the same key
combination you can lock the laser manually.
F: On the Presenter hand remote only the
laser is working but no control of my computer. What need to
be done?
A:
In most of the cases the
ID does not match with the USB receiver. To set the ID on the
model RM500 properly you need to do the
following: press the ID button on the USB
stick while plugged in the USB port. Then you need to press on
the hand remote the Mode key together with the drag key (press
the scroll switch) for minimum of 3 sec. until you see the
M-key flashing green. Now the ID is set properly and the
control functions should work again.
F: Can the function keys remapped to other keys?
A:
Yes, there are several tools under
Windows that allows key re-mapping. We recommend the following freeware
applications which you can download at the links below.
Freeware for re-mapping the
presenter keys:
The freeware program Keyboard Maniac is not only an
advanced key-remapping tool but also allows to create macros and to
remap the MultiMedia keys of our R-Mouse Presenter.
The freeware
program KeyTweak listed below is an easy to use and to configure key
re-mapping tool and can
be downloaded at:
